Meet the Owner & Therapist - Romisa E. Rangel

Romisa E. Rangel was born and raised in the RGV and has served her community as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) for the past 12 years. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2009 and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2010. Romisa has experience with the following types of patients: Autism, Down Syndrome, and other medically-complex patients, including those dependent on tracheostomy, ventilators, and feeding tubes. She has specialized training in low and high-tech augmentative and alternative communication, including LAMP Words for Life and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) levels 1 and 2. She is also experienced with incorporating basic baby sign language into therapy with the populations who would benefit from a multimodal/total communication approach, various feeding, oral motor, and craniofacial impairments including oral/feeding aversions, sensory-motor impairments, and cleft lip/palate. The therapist is fluent in Spanish and provides bilingual speech and language evaluations.
